About the Venue

Château de Tourreau in Sarrians, at the heart of Provence, is one of the South of France’s most distinguished estates. Commissioned between 1750 and 1770 by François Bénézet de Tourreau and designed by architect Brun, it features elegant salons, a chapel dating from 1614, and stately gardens. This luxury wedding chateau near Avignon brings 18th-century sophistication to modern celebrations.

Its 20-acre grounds encompass French and English gardens, fountains, waterways, orchards, and an educational farm. The property has played witness to centuries of French history, including links to François Paul Benezet de Tourreau, a Grey Musketeer of the King of France.

Today, the château offers a captivating wedding setting with six grand salons, a consecrated chapel seating 70 guests, and outdoor spaces ideal for receptions of up to 150. Its landmark avenue of cypress trees creates a breathtaking entrance, while proximity to Avignon and Orange places it near Provence’s most celebrated cultural heritage.

Accommodation:

Château de Tourreau can host up to 29 guests across its château and farm suites. The main house contains nine luxurious suites, including the “Imperiale” with a private 150 m² terrace and jacuzzi, as well as the refined “Prestige” and “Deluxe” suites.

Additional lodging is offered in the adjoining farm, arranged around a Roman-style patio shaded by olive and jasmine, with seven en-suite rooms designed in harmony with the château’s style. Each suite features travertine bathrooms, Provençal décor, and modern comforts such as air conditioning. Together, these accommodations provide an intimate, yet spacious environment for family and friends to stay onsite.

The château’s amenities are designed for relaxation and celebration. Its 25 x 10 metre heated infinity pool is complemented by a fully equipped pool house and summer kitchen for al fresco dining. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as a fitness room. Guests can also enjoy the orchard, vegetable gardens, and animal farm, offering fresh produce and authentic Provençal experiences.

Getting there

From Paris: From Paris, the fastest route is via high-speed TGV to Avignon, taking approximately 2 hours 40 minutes, followed by a 30-minute transfer by car to the estate in Sarrians.

From London: From London, Eurostar and TGV connections bring guests to Avignon in under 6 hours. Alternatively, flights into Marseille Provence Airport (1 hour from the château) or Avignon Airport (30 minutes) offer convenient access.
