About the Venue

Located in the Drôme Provençal region, Château des Barrenques is a historic estate dating back to the 14th century. Once the residence of the Marquis de Balincourt, the château is ideally positioned between Montélimar and Avignon, offering guests a chance to explore the surrounding region, including Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Gorges de l'Ardèche. Nestled within a beautiful setting, the château is surrounded by an ancient forest and a serene river. The estate is further enhanced by the scenic beauty of lavender and sunflower fields, making it an exquisite backdrop for weddings and events. Château des Barrenques is a member of the Domaines & événements collection, ensuring exceptional service and facilities for all occasions.

Accommodation & Amenities

Accommodation: Château des Barrenques offers luxurious accommodation for up to 42 guests across 16 rooms, including six elegantly decorated suites. The estate also features three charming gîtes, providing additional space for guests. The Gîte de La Tonnelle accommodates 14 people, while the Gîte de La Chapelle and Gîte d'Annette offer comfortable stays for seven and four guests, respectively. Each gîte is fully equipped with modern amenities and a private pool, making them perfect for families or groups of friends who want to stay together during their visit. The combination of historic charm and modern comfort ensures a memorable stay for all guests.

Additionally, a charming villa 2 km away can accommodate 11 people. The wedding venue team works closely with other nearby accommodations to ensure every guest can sleep near the venue. To further enhance convenience, the chateau's team collaborates with a transport company to help guests navigate between their accommodations and the wedding venue.

Amenities: The estate’s extensive amenities include two swimming pools, a picturesque park, and multiple reception spaces. The Magnanerie, a 19th-century historic monument, offers two levels of reception rooms, each 250m², ideal for both indoor and outdoor events. The ground floor room accommodates up to 198 guests for cocktails, while the upper level is perfect for intimate gatherings. Additionally, the Moulin provides a cozy setting for smaller events. The venue’s versatile spaces, including the terrace and the serene Clairière, ensure a perfect setting for every aspect of your wedding, from ceremonies to celebrations.

Getting there

From Paris, you can take a flight from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) or Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Avignon-Provence Airport (AVN). The flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Avignon-Provence Airport, Château des Barrenques is a 30-minute drive. Car rental services and taxis are available at the airport for your convenience.

From London, fly from Heathrow Airport (LHR) or Gatwick Airport (LGW) to Marseille Provence Airport (MRS). The flight takes about 2 hours. After landing, the château is a 1.5-hour drive from Marseille Provence Airport. Car rental services, taxis, and shuttle options are available at the airport, ensuring a smooth journey to the venue.
