About This Venue

Twin towers, estate wines, and total Provencal privacy

A truly unique fairytale 16th-century castle in Provence, set among vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, offering exclusive privatisation for weddings of up to 300 guests with 26 sleeping on-site.

The Venue History

16th century (main structure); 18th century (chapel, orangerie, ballroom additions) · Castle with two round and pointy towers — unique in Provence

Chateau de Robernier has been in the same noble family for 400 years, until 2005. The de Robernier family line can be traced back to the Capetian dynasty, the largest and oldest European royal house. The main structure of the castle was built in the 16th century. In the 18th century, the main castle, chapel, orangerie and ballroom were built. The architecture of the main façade, with its two round and pointy towers, is unique and the only one in Provence. Originally it was possible to cross the whole departement Var of France without leaving the land of Chateau de Robernier, but the land was divided through successive inheritance processes. The castle was passed through the daughters of the family, though the owners changed names. Since 2006, the castle has undergone a vast renovation project, restoring original details and incorporating 21st century technology.
