Location: 1.5 hours from Nice, French Riviera, Provence, South of France
Sophie and Dieter’s story began in London but found its most meaningful chapter in the South of France. Drawn to Provence for its colour, fragrance, and sense of stillness, they chose Château de Robernier a truly unique fairytale castle for their destination wedding. The 16th-century château near Saint-Tropez, surrounded by lavender fields and olive groves, offered a balance of grandeur and intimacy. Guests arrived through tree-lined paths that opened onto manicured lawns and stone terraces, where the day unfolded under clear skies. From the first arrival to the evening’s final dance, the château served as both stage and sanctuary, reflecting the couple’s love for travel, tradition, and the natural beauty of Provence.

A Classic Ceremony and Elegant Provençal Atmosphere
The celebration began with a religious ceremony led by a priest in front of the château’s baroque façade. Guests gathered beneath soft summer light as Sophie and Dieter exchanged vows that echoed through the courtyard. Sophie’s gown a classic white silhouette with a flowing veil moved gently in the breeze, while Dieter’s tailored look reflected quiet sophistication. After the ceremony, the château’s gardens hosted an open-air reception surrounded by blush-toned florals and fine Provençal wine. Laughter and conversation filled the terraces as the couple’s families toasted to a union both heartfelt and timeless.
Provence Captured Through Artistry and Detail
Throughout the day, Nicolas Elsen, among the best wedding photographers in Provence, documented each moment in his signature natural-light style. His images caught the luminous atmosphere of Château de Robernier, from the emotion of the vows to the rhythm of dinner and dancing beneath the stars. Local chef Roland Paix curated a menu that celebrated the region’s cuisine, pairing fresh ingredients with Provençal finesse. As dusk fell, candles and string lights transformed the courtyard into a warm tableau of light and laughter. Every element architecture, scent, and sound wove together to create a celebration deeply rooted in place and memory.
