18th century · 18th-century French château with Quattrocento charm
Built over three centuries ago, Château de Fonscolombe has a rich history having belonged to prominent families including the Marquis de Saporta. The château reopened after an 18-month restoration led by Hélène Martel-Massignac, preserving its historic elegance while adding modern luxuries. It is renowned for having hosted prestigious guests including the Queen Mother of England in 1965 and the Queen of Denmark.
