Built by the aristocratic Laulanié family, its legacy includes cannon forges and grain mills, while later residents included the poet Martial Rouby, honoured in nearby Beaumont-en-Périgord. Following 28 years of abandonment, the stunning Bergerac wedding castle was brought back to life in just 18 months by owners Gavin and Tina Weaver, whose expertise in wedding design and property restoration transformed the estate into a premier venue.
Today, it offers couples exclusive access to 22 acres of gardens, historic indoor and outdoor event spaces, and the freedom to design their celebration without restrictions on suppliers or corkage. Château de Sainte Croix can accommodate up to 32 guests across 12 individually designed ensuite bedrooms and a fully-equipped four-person apartment.
