One of my favourite parts of being Editor of French Wedding Style is receiving the real wedding submissions and when today’s Super 8 wedding film submission landed in my inbox from Andrew Kelly Films, I could not stop smiling!
I am a huge fan of Super 8 films and Sophie and Sébastien’s wedding in Toulouse all captured on Super 8 is just magical. It is so honest and I totally feel like I am there on the day taking a peek into their wedding celebrations. Of course I then had to take a look through some of Andrew’s other films and I was struck by a phrase on his website that I could not agree with more “There’s something about Super 8 film that always slaps you in the face when you see it.“
Grab that popcorn as Andrew takes us through Sophie and Sébastien’s big day: “The couple created a golden day in the pink city of Toulouse. It was so refreshing to see how calm they were throughout the whole day, calmly walking to the registry office from home, having brunch with friends and family before the church ceremony. As an Englishman it is always a wonderful thing to note the difference in customs, styles and choice of proceedings here in France. Sophie handmade hundreds of Origami swans herself in the lead up to the day.
Friends sang a song to the couple they had penned themselves and the reception venue of L’Orangerie in Seilh was the most perfect backdrop for an elegant blend of class and down to earth charm to match the couple themselves. Thank you Sophie & Sébastien.”
