Location: Dijon • Burgundy • North of France
Tracey and Romain brought family and friends together from the USA and France for a wedding that balanced intimacy with quiet grandeur. This luxury venue located in the sunny South Eastern part of France offered the perfect frame: a formal façade, sweeping lawns, and a tree-lined allée that led the rhythm of the day. Guests arrived to still air and countryside views, their footsteps soft on gravel as leaves stirred overhead. The ceremony took place in front of the house, with white florals and greenery arranged to complement pale stone rather than compete with it. Simplicity guided the design, allowing vows, voices, and the world-renowned Burgundy estate itself to hold the scene.

Dinner Beneath the Allée: Lavender Air and Crystal Light
As the evening opened, tables stretched beneath chandeliers and strings of soft bulbs along the château’s allée. The design was quiet yet intentional: petals in measured tones, clear glassware, and neutral linens that reflected the fading light. The surrounding lavender fields released fragrance as the air cooled, layering scent over the rhythm of conversation. Château de Varennes anchored every view its symmetry grounding the perspective while guests dined beneath trees. Servers moved easily along the clear paths, speeches unfolded naturally, and the night took on the steady warmth of summer. Candles flickered at the table’s edge, silver caught faint highlights, and the garden offered space for a short stroll between courses.
Collaboration, Craft, and a Finale Beneath Fireworks
Behind the atmosphere of ease lay a foundation of precision. Peony Moments, one of Burgundy’s talented wedding planners, coordinated transitions between the château façade, allée, and lawns, managing timing and logistics through to the night’s fireworks finale. Pablo Laguia, among the most admired wedding photographers in France, documented the celebration in both intimate and expansive frames capturing the countryside horizon, floral detail, and the emotion of family gathered under trees. As darkness deepened, guests stepped back for the final display of fireworks above the château. Applause rose through the courtyard before music reclaimed the space for a final dance, closing a day that felt calm, luminous, and deeply personal.
