Manufacture Royale de Lectoure is a fully restored 18th-century royal tannery located in the heart of Gascony, in the town of Lectoure. Designed by architect Pierre Racine and constructed in 1754, the building stood unused for 30 years before undergoing a meticulous three-year restoration, reopening in 2022. Now listed as a historical monument, it offers a peaceful retreat with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and Pyrenees mountains. Just steps from Lectoure’s Main Street and cultural sites, the venue offers a rare blend of heritage architecture and modern function.
Ideal for intimate weddings, private receptions, and professional events, the venue includes a 93 m² reception hall with an additional 13 m² stage, and a semi-professional kitchen ideal for hosting meals, wine tastings, and cookery workshops. With its large grounds and inviting interiors, it presents a welcoming setting for ceremonies, celebrations, and retreats throughout the year.
Accommodation
Guest accommodation is divided across several buildings. The East Wing of the main house features five guest rooms, including one on the ground floor, each equipped with a spacious bathroom including a bathtub and a work corner. A separate wing of the house operates as a vacation home with five double bedrooms, a five-bed dormitory, and private en-suite bathrooms across two floors.
This space also includes a living room, kitchen, and dining area on the ground floor, offering privacy and comfort with a separate entrance and a private garden. It accommodates up to 15 guests and is suitable for longer stays.
Amenities
In addition, the Gîte Marcheur offers flexible group lodging with five dormitories of varying sizes (2–5 beds each), five bathrooms, and large living areas. It also sleeps up to 15 guests and can be adapted as a reception or dinner venue. For spiritual or wellness retreats, a 90 m² hall is available for yoga or dance classes.
The on-site semi-professional kitchen allows for culinary experiences such as cooking workshops and wine tastings. Surrounded by natural walking trails and foraging areas, the site offers cultural and leisure opportunities in a historically rich environment.
