About the Venue

Château Canet is a historic estate located in the heart of Languedoc, between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. Originally built by Lord Bernand de Canet in 1126, the château has been beautifully preserved and modernized. Today, it is owned by the Lemstra-Bake family, who have transformed it into a luxurious venue for weddings and events. The estate spans 150 hectares, featuring extensive vineyards, olive groves, and pine forests. The château offers a range of event spaces, including a charming reception hall and various outdoor areas perfect for ceremonies and receptions. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while being just 15 km from the historic town of Carcassonne. The estate's rich history and picturesque setting provide a unique backdrop for any celebration​​​​.

Accommodations: Château Canet offers luxurious accommodations in 9 cottages that can host up to 39 guests with an option of 6 additional beds, providing an intimate yet spacious setting for wedding parties. Each cottage is beautifully decorated, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. The main house, La Maison du Régisseur, features an open-plan kitchen, living room, and private garden, perfect for family gatherings. 

Amenities: Château Canet's facilities include a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a pétanque court, providing fun for guests of all ages. The reception hall, L'Orangerie, is equipped with modern facilities and includes a high-quality sound system and lighting. Additional options for reception and ceremony include a charming courtyard, beautiful gardens or a Bohemian-style tent in the olive grove. Unique activities, such as guided wine tours, interactive wine-blending workshops, picnics in the vineyards and treasure hunts across the estate will provide memorable experiences for you and your guests. 

Getting there

From Paris: Fly to Toulouse Airport, which is approximately a 1-hour journey. From Toulouse, Château Canet is 1.5 drive from the airport.

From London: Fly to Toulouse Airport via a direct flight, which takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Upon arrival, Château Canet is just a 1.5 drive from the airport. Another option is to take the Eurostar to Paris and then continue by TGV to Carcassonne​​.
