We adore Château de Maulmont's majestic yet intimate atmosphere, perfect for a memorable wedding. The exclusive use of the entire venue ensures privacy, while its stunning views of the Allier Valley provide a picturesque backdrop for your special day.
Château de Maulmont is steeped in rich history, dating back to the 13th century when it was a Templar stronghold built by Renaud de Vichy after returning from the Crusades. Located on the hills overlooking the Valley of the River Allier, it has preserved elements from its original structure, including the Templar’s crest above the archway. Over centuries, the chateau has transitioned through noble families and significant renovations, including transformation into a hunting lodge by Princess Adelaide Louise d’Orléans in 1830.
Today, Château de Maulmont is a beautifully renovated estate that offers a magical setting for various events. The chateau, surrounded by lush gardens and located in a 22-hectare private estate, is an ideal location for dream weddings and luxury events. It is situated centrally in France, just 12 km south of the UNESCO spa town of Vichy and 35 km north of Clermont-Ferrand, making it accessible for guests from across France and beyond.
Accommodation: The château offers 21 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, and apartments, accommodating up to 64 guests. Each room is uniquely decorated and equipped with modern amenities, including private bathrooms, television with DVD players, bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary tea and coffee. Notable rooms include the "Princess Adelaide Room" in the south tower with a 360° panoramic view and the "Duchess of Praslin Room" with its valley view and luxurious bath. The family suites and apartments provide additional space and convenience for larger groups, ensuring all guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.
Amenities: Château de Maulmont includes both outdoor and indoor heated swimming pools, a sauna, and extensive gardens perfect for leisurely strolls or outdoor activities. The large terrace is ideal for cocktails and casual meals, while the custom-made marquee provides a stunning setting for ceremonies and receptions. For added convenience, the château features a helipad, private parking, and facilities for various activities such as table tennis, table football, and pétanque. The venue’s dedicated staff is on hand to assist with all aspects of event planning, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for you and your guests.
From Paris: Take the A10 and A71 motorways towards Clermont-Ferrand, then the A89 to reach Château de Maulmont. The journey takes approximately 4 hours by car. Alternatively, take a direct train from Gare de Lyon to Vichy, followed by a short 15-minute drive to the château.
