The Venue History
18th century · Directoire style
Located in the hamlet of Brimont between Moirax and La Romieu, Chateau de Lassalle was once a lordship in the Bruilhois viscounty under the jurisdiction of Laplume. The known history begins in 1485 when Meynard de Larroque, a clerk at the Armagnac Treasury, was owner. The Godhailh family held the lordship in the early 16th century, during which time the chateau was enlarged with mullioned windows. Robert de Godhail was arrested and sentenced to death in 1538, and Diane de Poitiers held part of the property until 1564. The De Las de Brimont family built the current Directoire-style residence at the end of the 18th century, marked with their DLB crest above the entrance. The property passed through several families until 2003. In 2012 it obtained a 4-star hotel rating and operated as a hotel until the pandemic. Christina and Sassan Aminzadeh acquired the property in February 2022 and are restoring it as a private rental, wedding, and events venue.
