This ethereal spring wedding shoot captured by Visuals By Abbi in the South of France. Showcases local artisans, mountain views and the beauty that can come with an intimate ceremony…
The picturesque mountains of Gréolières
“The beauty of France is endless, from the sparkling Cote d’Azur waters to magical chateaux laced with vineyards. For this inspirational editorial shoot, we moved away from the glitz and decadence of the coast to the picturesque mountains of Gréolières amongst ancient stone ruins, just an hours drive from the famous French Riviera.
The perfect choice for a magical elopement
Spring in the south of France is a wonderful time of year, the promise of warmer weather and long evenings, the landscape bursting into life with fleurs sauvages – wild flowers – and the scent of wild lavender and herbs- the perfect choice for a magical elopement.
Declaring your love in front of breath-taking mountain views
We wanted to showcase the opportunities our wonderful region has to offer. With lots of couples now having to adapt their original wedding plans, smaller ceremonies do not have to mean sacrificing on style. And what is more romantic than declaring your love in front of breath-taking mountain views!
Soft draped linens and Dandelions and Grace stunning floral arrangements
The shoot was captured by Visuals By Abbi and thoughtfully styled by Danni Wing Events. Using muted earthy tones to allow the beauty of the surroundings to speak. The simple yet elegant table design mixed natural textures of wood with white, minimal porcelain flatware and amber-toned glasses. The tablescape was completed with vintage crystal champagne flutes, soft draped linens and Dandelions and Grace stunning floral arrangements.
Sustainability and locality were an important undertone of the shoot
Sustainability and locality were an important undertone of the shoot. We were celebrating the beauty of nature and were conscious to not leave a trace. Many of the items featured in the shoot were produced and supplied by local artisans. We focused on using flowers from the local area. Sourced vintages items rather than buying new where possible and served local food and wines.
That create a more effortless, sunset-hued beauty
The Bridal makeup by Irina Awad was inspired by the magical Provençal golden hour. Using warm cream earthy-toned eyeshadows for a beautiful sheen, healthy bronze and dewy highlighters that create a more effortless, sunset-hued beauty. The bridal look is completed by one extra coat of mascara for wide-awake eyes and neutral lips.
The beautiful ceremony display wrapped the stone ruins
The ancient ruins and the meadows of wildflowers and grasses surrounding the location. The beautiful ceremony display wrapped the stone ruins creating a touch of wild elegance. The bridal bouquet was designed mixing exotic orchids with locally grown blooms for the famous perfume houses of Grasse. Wild textured foliage foraged nearby all tied with beautiful silk ribbon. The earthy hues continued in the organic bowls of flowers for this relaxed spring picnic wedding in the South of France.

The grandness of the mountains reflected in the sumptuous full train
The Bride’s backless bespoke dress was designed and created by local couturière Kim Stokes of Gold Leaf Finish. Taking style notes from the timeless elegance of the Golden Age of Hollywood the dress is contemporary and classic, with a touch romance. The grandness of the mountains reflected in the sumptuous full train.
The jewellery was from a Parisian jeweller who works with fine stones and 24-carat gold or plated silver. His collection is available in the French-Riviera concept store dedicated to “Made in France” products: l’Atelier Français.
The Groom wore a burgundy suit with a floral waistcoat from Keitels Tailors in Cannes.
We finished the day toasting with his and her drinks accompanied by local French cheeses and meats.”
