Hello lovely French Wedding Style readers! Get ready for a whirlwind of emotions in this adventurous New Caledonia wedding couple session photoshoot. Wild Roses Studio captured their gorgeous day under the sun through his lense and in the story below.
Located between Australia and New Zealand, New Caledonia is the only French territory in this part of the Pacific. As a south Pacific island it offers beautiful beaches, ranging from pure white (Iles des Pins and Iles Loyautés) and dark black sand. It is a heaven for scuba divers with colourful corals and fishes. It is one of the biggest islands of the Pacific, thus offering a wide variety of natural surrounding and countrysides.
As part of a family holiday to New Caledonia, I had the pleasure to document this lovely couple session. Leaving in Noumea, by the sea, they wanted to have their pictures to a place they often go to relax and have fun. The couple session took place on Magenta’s beach.
We waited for a low tide and late afternoon to do the session, to have those gorgeous lights. A windy afternoon, with perfume of salty water, mixing with the sound of small waves. Being able to walk for hundreds of meters of the warm black sand, barefoot, is such a nice way to end your day.
The couple was not at ease at first, but was very in love and romantic, so after few minutes, their natural personality showed through and they were lovely. They both love to dance, so had few steps, remembering their wedding first dance, between sand and sea water.
After playing on the sand and having intimate pictures, we headed to the sea, to enjoy the warm water, and play with it.
New Caledonia is such a beautiful country; people are really nice and friendly. If you fly to Australia, you should definitely continue your trip to New Caledonia (acruise is a fantastic way to travel to the Pacific islands).
