Modern-Vintage Styled Shoot in Soft Blue at Chateau Martinay, Provence

Clara and Kevin's modern-vintage styled shoot at Chateau Martinay in Provence: corset bridal shorts, pussy-bow groom, and a soft blue palette.

By Sophie Laurent | Published 22 June 2026 | Last reviewed

This was a styled shoot with a single brief: take something vintage and read it through a modern lens. The team set it at Château Martinay, a historic château in Provence in March, when the early-spring light is soft and a light wind keeps everything moving. Still Miracle shot it, Sparkling Moments planned it, and models Clara and Kevin gave it its character. The idea running through everything was contrast: clean modern lines and structured tailoring set against the château's older, more ornate interiors.

The couple frames are where the concept came together. Photographed through the château's interiors, Clara and Kevin played the contrast the whole shoot was built on, the bridal styling soft and feminine, the groom's deliberately pared back. The approach stayed modern and editorial throughout, less about poses than about catching natural movement and a quiet, held mood.

Design and Details

The colour was kept deliberately quiet: a soft blue that surfaced only in accents, the shoes, the florals, the blue notes running through the bouquet. Everything else stayed clean-lined and pared back. The gown, by Luce Sposa, was structured on a corset base, worn with lace, statement glasses and a clean-lined veil. The beauty look shifted through the day, from something soft and natural to a defined evening French twist finished with a vintage-toned lip. The photography held the same register, modern and editorial, clean compositions reading the styling against the old architecture.
