Location: 1.5 hours from Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, South of France
This 18th-century historic French Chateau located in the Bordeaux region offered an atmospheric setting for a South of France winter editorial. The heritage estate, framed by marble fireplaces, formal salons, and sculpted parkland, invited a celebration of texture and tone. The ceremony took place before ancient sphinx statues and a grand column, where candlelight met crisp air and quiet music carried through the corridors. Burgundy, gold, and blush hues threaded through the flowers and linens, softened by moss that traced the stone architecture. Château Marcellus a neoclassical estate in Lot-et-Garonne’s interiors gave rhythm to the day each room shaped for warmth, intimacy, and the flicker of light against stone.

A Fireplace Table and the Glow of Holiday Colour
The reception scene gathered before a marble hearth, where a long table stretched beneath crystal reflections and red tapers. Fine china, fruit, and winter florals added richness without weight, while the polished stone floors caught the shimmer of glass and silver. A white cake, detailed with embossed pattern and burgundy ribbons, stood nearby, its design echoing the ceremony palette. A champagne tower trimmed with small bows completed the tableau, waiting as guests would have moved into place for toasts. Beyond the main salon, the château’s corridors and staircases offered quiet portrait corners, contrasting the cool night air outside with the inviting brightness within.
Evening Elegance and the Creatives Who Defined the Vision
As dusk settled, the scene transformed from ceremony formality to evening sparkle. The bride’s gown shifted from classic gloves and satin lines to a short, sequined dress for fireside portraits, while a tailored tuxedo brought refinement to the groom’s look. The editorial’s flow was designed by Quinze Heures Quinze, among the most creative wedding planners in the South of France, whose approach ensured smooth transitions from outdoor vows to indoor warmth. Photography by JD Bascio, one of Europes’s artistic wedding photographers, followed every shift in light and tone from the frost-touched statuary to the final glow of candles across the marble hearth.
