Domaine Madrona is a restored 13th-century Catalan farmhouse near Castelnou, one of the most beautiful villages in France, set in around 100 hectares of Mediterranean forest in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Restored over four years from 2017, it is given over to one wedding at a time for up to 40 guests, with a private chef, a swimming pool, and on-site accommodation for 22.
The Venue History
13th century · Catalonian farmhouse
Domaine Madrona was built in the 13th century as a Catalan farmhouse and once served as a refuge for Cathar pilgrims. The estate was restored over four years from 2017. It adjoins its sister estate, the Querubi organic olive farm, planted in 2006 with around 10,000 olive trees and farmed without synthetic fertilisers.
