Château du Chesnay-Haguest is a 19th-century château set in 5 hectares of private parkland in the Eure, 20 minutes from Giverny and about an hour from Paris. The park holds mature trees, open lawns, an arboretum, ponds, fountains and cascades. A Lebanon cedar stands over the lawns, and a gloriette above the water looks back across the grounds to the house. The château was rebuilt on the ruins of a medieval estate by Félix Leclerc de Pulligny, a traveller, archaeologist and botanist, who contributed directly to its architecture and decoration.

The estate takes one wedding at a time, booked as a full weekend. Ceremonies are held under the cedar or beside the gloriette, with the 3 period salons, Dumas, Monet and Pulligny, standing in when it rains. Dinner and dancing move to the Pavillon du Parc, where a historic barn and a covered marquee together make 350 sqm for 200 guests.

The estate sleeps 20 across 10 bedrooms, including the Louis XII room kept for the couple. A swimming pool, pool house, tennis court and pétanque are open through the stay, and couples may bring their own wine with no corkage.
