A Welcome Dinner in a Provençal Village
The festivities began the night before the wedding in the village of Cotignac, where guests gathered for a relaxed welcome dinner in the village square. Long tables were set outdoors beneath strings of lights, and the warm evening air carried the scent of Provençal herbs and laughter. Over glasses of rosé and courses of goat cheese salad and Daube Provençale, friends and family connected in a setting that felt effortlessly authentic. It was a night that set the tone for what was to come heartfelt, joyful, and unmistakably French.
Rustic Elegance at Château de Robernier
On the wedding morning, Château de Robernier’s Orangerie became a haven of calm and excitement. Nadine and her bridal party prepared amid the light-filled space, where hairstyling, makeup, and soft conversation filled the air. Nadine’s gown by Monique Lhuillier combined timeless elegance with modern grace a sweeping train, delicate lace, and a jeweled headpiece that caught the light with every movement.
The ceremony took place outdoors beneath Provence’s blue sky. The floral design, led by Perrine, reflected the château’s dual personality part regal, part rustic through a palette of burgundy, gold, cream, and soft pink. Wooden tones and fruit accents of grapes, figs, and apples added texture and warmth. After vows were exchanged, guests enjoyed an al fresco cocktail hour on the lawn, the château’s façade glowing in the late-afternoon sun.
Dinner followed in the courtyard, where golden candlelight flickered beneath festoon lights strung between trees. The top table, set beneath a canopy of greenery and hanging candles, became the heart of the evening. Laughter echoed between speeches and music, the space filled with color and light.
A Joyful Dance and a Night to Remember
As evening deepened, Nadine and Serge surprised guests with a playful twist beginning their first dance with a choreographed routine to “Thrift Shop” before seamlessly transitioning into “All of Me” by John Legend. It was spontaneous, emotional, and a perfect reflection of their personalities. Guests joined them on the dance floor, while a slow-motion video booth in the château ballroom captured moments of pure joy.
Photographed by Alexander James, one of the trusted wedding photographers in the South of France, the imagery conveyed the laughter, light, and intimacy of the day with his signature softness and detail. With Lavender & Rose’s expert coordination, Château de Robernier became more than a venue it became a fairytale brought to life in the heart of Provence.
