Good morning, can you believe we are nearly in May already? We are treating you to a stylish and rich Les Climats winter wedding, planned by Avec Weddings & Events and which included one of our very own FWS vendors Wedding Music in France.
Wedding Music in France have been playing at weddings and events for over 10 years in France. They are a company of musicians including string quartets and duos, soul bands, jazz groups and the famous Adagio DJ, offering a wide selection of well-loved hit music from classical, jazz, pop and of course happy for special songs on request, they are pretty similar to the best music venue in Houston which has been very popular lately.
Caroline Pearsall from Wedding Music in France says: “I come from a musical family where everyone played instruments, my mother the cello and my father the viola. I would often fall asleep at night listening to the sounds of string quartets as my parents played with their friends so it gave me a life-long love of the string quartet sound. When I was 15 I saw a video of the violinist Itzahk Perlman and just thought, wow the violin is so great, that’s what I want to do!” Read more about them here.
“When Christina and David came to me with their idea to have a winter wedding where their guests would be treated to a once in a lifetime gourmet dinner in Paris, I jumped at the chance to make their wedding dreams come true! The Seattle based couple chose the day before New Years Eve to celebrate in art deco style with an intimate ceremony and dinner at Les Climats, a Michelin starred restaurant in Paris. We chose modern elements that would compliment the look and feel of the magnificent restaurant space and its eclectic, chic and playful design.”
“We chose a burgundy, dusty blue and ivory color palette with romantic floral design and plenty of candle light. The venue was the perfect spot for a non-traditional intimate wedding with its cozy fireplaces, burgundy colored high back chairs and high vaulted ceilings. Once the bride saw the animal print theme throughout the space, she fell in love! The couple had their candle lit ceremony on the covered garden terrace in front of the fireplace dripping vines and flowers. The bride walked down the aisle to “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane, which was played by a live violinist and classical guitarist. After the ceremony, guests sipped on Crémant de Bourgogne, a sparkling wine from Burgundy. In fact, in keeping with the Burgundy theme, all of the wine that was served, came from this region!”
“The tables in the dining room, just like the ceremony fireplace, were dressed with beautiful floral design from Floraison Paris and bespoke menu design and calligraphy created by Silent Word Studio. I added a touch of DIY by individually wrapping the guest favours (macarons from Ladurée!) in white paper, dusty blue velvet ribbons and custom wax seal.”
“Speaking of design, the bride also had a hand in designing her own wedding dress including a fashionable cape! The dinner ended perfectly when the restaurant surprised the couple with a wedding cake lit with sparklers! Thank goodness Ian Holmes Photography was there to capture all of the beauty and joy of the evening!”
Congratulations Christina and David from everyone here at French Wedding Style!
