Organic Wedding at Château de Siradan

Today we are taking you to the Pyrenees for a gorgeous organic wedding editorial shoot at this sumptuous new chateau, Chateau de Siradan, with longstanding FWS partners Clémentine & Mark Ward, (planner and photographer), from Awardweddings.

The magnificent Chateau de Siradan was recently taken over and is now ready to receive couples. The chateau is located in the untouched Pyrenees mountains, in the South West of France. To mark their new launch, the wedding editorial shoot was organized, last December.

The Overall Styling

As the wedding designer, Clémentine from Awardweddings wanted an elegant and organic style for the event. The chateau is in a gorgeous park nestled in the mountains. “The starting point was the interior of the chateau and everything else needed to stem from here. We chose an organic style with cream and nude colours with accents of autumnal foliage; a style that reflects and complement the chateau itself. Each element of the shoot was carefully planned together to ensure a continuity in every detail of the day”, says Clémentine from Awardweddings.

The florist and decorations rental company: Jenny from Fairy Flowers and Our Fabulous Things did a fantastic job in designing and creating flower arrangements to die for and provided indulgent decorations such as table wear and chairs. “Jenny is so wonderful to work with, she understands the brief straight away and is very adaptable to any request. As a wedding planner, I’m delighted to work with her, every opportunity I can. She also has a complete stock of flowers, furniture and decorations, which is very attractive to ensure the overall look is harmonious.”

The stationery was specially created for the event with a natural suite in cream, nude and grey paper. “Hannah from Mabel Press did a fantastic job with this elegant and timeless collection.”

The Look of the Couple

For this elegant chateau, the natural beauty of real-life couple Bérénice and Florian was just perfect. Bérénice wore a classic and elegant top with a voluminous skirt from Diva La Mariée, with a veil to accessorize her outfit. The talented Sarah Rees gave her a beautiful make-up naturally enhancing her beauty. The other talented Sarah, Fekir, gave her a gorgeous timeless hairstyle.

The chateau offers a multitude of locations for each part of the day and we had another set-up under a truly impressive tree in the garden, which in the hot summer will provide shaded seating for any wedding.

The Dinner

The shoot was the opportunity to gather the best suppliers around and we had the pleasure of local chef Anders Drew who produced some delicious and delightful looking organic cocktails, canapés and cakes.

Thanks to the help of Jenny, Hannah and Anders, we were able to create a romantic, timeless and luxurious tablescape. Cream and nude colours were completed by accents of gold in the charger plates, cutlery, vases and candle holders. It complemented the gorgeous dining room.

It’s beautifully renovated in a modern style whilst keeping the French authenticity. “I loved working at the chateau, such wonderful and beautiful scenery, and great light in the double-aspect rooms; not to mention the fantastic character that survives the renonvation”, Mark from Awardweddings.
