Location: Pyrenees • Occitanie • South of France
Jing and Olivier gathered guests from France, China, and the United States for a destination celebration in the Pyrenees. Set against clear September skies, Château St Michel, an exclusive use mountain estate near Toulouse offered forest shade, stone terraces, and wide mountain views. The South of France wedding estate with a large private pool and vaulted party space beneath the chateau, suited a celebration designed to flow from day into night. Friends and family reconnected over welcome drinks, surrounded by woodland quiet and the scent of pine. As daylight softened, guests lingered by the pool before gathering under trees for an outdoor ceremony framed by natural light and mountain air.

A Refined Palette of Florals, Candlelight, and Clean Lines
Muted reds, soft pinks, and cream tones carried through the design. A draped arch framed the ceremony beneath a tree, where florals and petals created a simple, grounded aisle. The signing table continued the floral theme in restrained form, blending naturally into the setting. Dinner took place under linen with long tables lined in bud vases, low arrangements, and candlelight that caught on touches of gold cutlery. The cake, surrounded by deep red roses, became a sculptural centrepiece before the evening’s transition to music. Stationery illustrated with Château St Michel tied the narrative together, marking each stage of the day with quiet continuity.
Translation, Flow, and a Celebration Beneath the Château
With three languages spoken among guests, clarity and inclusion shaped the rhythm of the event. A live translator and QR-coded speeches helped everyone stay connected, while bookmarks from China served as thoughtful favors. After poolside canapés, guests sat to a three-course menu of local organic cuisine under the chateau’s tented terrace. The first dance unfolded against the stone façade before the party moved into the vaulted space known as the “rave cave.” The celebration came together through the expertise of Clémentine of Awardweddings, one of the South of France’s leading wedding planners, and was photographed by Mark Ward, among the most creative wedding photographers in the Pyrenees.
