Burgundy Linen and Two Cymbeline Gowns at Domaine de Vaugency

Domaine de Vaugency, a wedding venue in Grand Est, provided two garden settings for this autumn bridal editorial. One held an outdoor ceremony, the other a dinner in the open air, laid for around ten. At the heart of the estate, the branches of mature trees lean towards one another over a natural aisle beside a winding canal. The summer's severe drought had left the canal dry, with greenery taking root along its bed.
In an editorial photographed by Aude Lucas, Pauline of Histoires Sauvages created the ceremony flowers, the dinner arrangements and the bridal bouquet. Miniature apples were tucked among her arrangements, and small white pumpkins added to the autumn produce. The editorial's bride wore two gowns by Cymbeline designed by the house's new artistic director, Lucas Anderi.

For the ceremony, the bride wore Cymbeline's Angelina gown, a strapless princess silhouette worked with floral embroidery and beading. A detachable overskirt, also embroidered with flowers, added volume, and her veil was embellished with fabric flowers. Agata Prywer styled her hair in an intricate updo, with makeup by Laura Lupo.
For the evening she wore the Azur gown, a long-sleeved mermaid silhouette with a bare back and floral embroidery across the shoulders and neckline. Laura deepened the eyeshadow and added a burgundy lip to match the dinner linen. For her hair, Agata created a sleek, sculpted chignon inspired by Old Hollywood.

Orange flowers appeared in both garden settings. Along the ceremony aisle, Pauline combined them with coral, vivid pink and sunshine yellow, softening the stronger colours with pastel pink and white. The ceremony setting paired a classically styled floral arch with green-draped benches and wrought-iron garden chairs.
At dinner, orange dahlias stood out against burgundy linen on tables arranged in a U shape around a central floral installation. Pauline paired generous centrepieces with smaller arrangements in bud vases, and grapes and ornamental gourds were set on the table with the flowers.
