A soft, romantic and dreamy pastel wedding shoot
Today we join Emily from Emily C. Photography on a walk through a beautiful hamlet in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park for this soft, romantic and dreamy pastel wedding shoot…
We wanted to represent our beautiful Provence to the world
The wedding planner Audrey from Mlle Devient une Reine, and I, organized this styled shoot together. Because we are friends and we wanted to work together. We wanted to represent our beautiful Provence to the world, because it’s quite famous, isn’t it?
Of course I think we are very lucky to live here. This is the best place ever for wonderful weddings and couples are coming from all around the world to get married here.
We wanted to show Provence and its beauty, its authenticity, its charm.
First, we choose the venue – Le Clos du Tuilier. Located in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park in Provence. Le Clos du Tuilier is an authentic little hamlet where our couple met each other for this dreamy pastel inspired styled shoot.
A private lavender field is open in the garden to the couples
This hamlet opens its doors to you to reveal all its charms for your wedding. It is nesting in the countryside, rocked by the sound of cicadas. This is a typically Provençal hamlet, where couples can have an unforgettable wedding. And from mid-June to September, a private lavender field is open in the garden to the couples. Much to the delight of South of France and Provence lovers.
From Cannes to Toulon, Marseille and Aix-en-Provence
All the vendors we reunited are from Provence and the French Riviera. From Cannes to Toulon, Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. The choice of the vendors was obvious, we knew that it would be a great styled shoot.
The colour theme for our wedding shoot was pastel tones to represent softness, romanticism and purity. Old rose, powder pink, green and white.
Our florist from Okiss Wedding Design, made wonderful floral arrangements for the table setting in the courtyard. A staging of this table of honour, where every detail has its importance, from the stationery to the dishes, to the candles, and to the choice of the wooden table and the stone wall in the background.
Succulent pastries have been created for the occasion by our wedding cake designer Combavacake. This time we wanted something different, not the famous wedding cake, but cute pop cakes covered with white chocolate and pink roses.
After the preparations, the shoot started outside. We had problems with the location of the floral arch because there was a lot of wind, but we had to handle it. The couples shoot was in the alley of the hamlet, and in the garden.
Ashley wore a beige and white wedding dress called “coração”, that means “heart”. Christopher wore an elegant green suit with a camel colour bow tie. I wanted this dress and this suit, because it’s a bit different than what we usually see, and these two colours fit very well together.
At the end of the day, even if it was in August and the wind was very cold, we had a breath-taking view of the Provence countryside. The best moment was during the golden hour – sunset – when the light hit all of the pastel wedding accents in the evening. The colours were truly incredible.
