Hello lovely FWS readers and welcome to another wonderful week. We are starting off this week with a French Château de la Mogère real wedding. This Montpellier wedding was captured by photographer Sarah Martinet.
Montpellier is a city in southern France just a little inland from the Mediterranean coastline with its crystal turquoise waters. The perfect location for a destination wedding. You can explore more of Montpellier here as part of our wanderlust series with the assistance of FWS vendor Fleurs Design by Faustine.

We just love their simple yet elegant rose floral creations in today’s Château de la Mogère Real Wedding…
“Alexandra and Maxime married in July, near Montpellier. I had the pleasure of arranging the flowers for this lovely couple – they were so adorable! They knew they wanted a very romantic wedding from the beginning, and they achieved it completely.”
“Firstly the venue, Château de la Mogère, was such a perfect choice; it’s one of my favourite places in the region. It boasts a very spacious ‘jardin à la francaise’ (perfect for photographs!), fairytale architecture and a special atmosphere which makes it perfect for a wedding.”
“The bride chose a simple but romantic ivory dress which suited her figure perfectly and finished her look with metallic accessories. This was complemented by natural make up and a bohemian up-do finished with fresh flowers. Her bridesmaids looked similarly elegant in pale pink dresses and accessories for a pretty summer look.”
“For the flowers, we worked with a pastel colour scheme of cream and white. Soft and sweet, for a romantic summer look. The bride’s bouquet was made of garden roses and seasonal flowers such as Astilbe and Lisianthus, with a touch of Eucalyptus to finish and bound with an ivory ribbon to match her dress. For the bridesmaids, Alexandra chose a sweet and simple posy of roses and Gypsophila to match their dresses, whilst the groom and his ushers wore matching flowers for their buttonholes. The pale colours worked perfectly against their blue Hugo Boss suits.”
“The couple had their wedding ceremony outside in front of the Château. We decorated the ceremony area with a bespoke floral arch of seasonal greenery and a peppering of fresh flowers to create the perfect backdrop to their vows. It was such an emotional ceremony, with tears of happiness from both the guests and the vendors! The photographs, by the talented Sarah Martinet, perfectly capture the atmosphere, full of love and tenderness for Alexandra and Maxime on this special day.”
“The reception took place in the other part of the Château grounds. We decorated the old stone walls with twinkling fairy lights and created centrepieces full of roses, the symbol of love, to complete that romantic atmosphere. Lastly, we finished the table with candle light and soft touches of gold, to create a magical evening look.”
“And then after dinner, the party started! Alexandra and Maxime led the fun with a special first dance, Your song from “Moulin Rouge”. Their guests were certainly in store for an evening to remember!”
Congratulations Alexandra and Maxime from everyone here at French Wedding Style!
