“I’m so happy to be able to finally show you this creative editorial shoot with a real couple Lucy & Hayden in Provence, April 2018 at the Château De Roussan. This shoot was a dream come true, a real food for the soul and just to think about the wonderful time we’ve had makes me all warm and fuzzy.”
“Lucy and Hayden are the sweetest couple a photographer could ask for, an amazing team of vendors making all our ideas possible and a very private, romantic Château. A day earlier we were shooting their engagement photos and worrying about Provençal ‘high winds’ making everybody cry and sneeze, but luckily the weather on the shoot day was beyond amazing. We started early at the Chateau as we had loads of details and places to photograph.”
“Every corner of this amazing, hidden Provençal gem was photo-worthy, starting from the front entrance, long driveway, pool, garden and all the greenery around. The whole shoot was inspired by the Chateau itself – pink shutters on the windows, rustic stonewalls & rose garden gave us idea for the first look.”
“Beautiful soft make up by Mel Kinsman complemented Lucy’s complexion and together with the ‘Hanami’ dress by Jo Flemming created a strong ‘ballerina inspiration’ to the whole scene.”
“The second dress needed more dramatic, smoky makeup & a quick hair change (by our irreplaceable Anette Carr). We used the greenery around the Chateau and loads of foliage created by Florence and Marina to decorate around the quirky pool, dress up the candles and style the table. The second dress by Jo Flemming ‘Columbine’ in the shades of blue and grey looked amazing in the abundance of greenery.”
“Everything provided a stunning backdrop for our beautiful couple. We wanted this shoot to feel like a luxury elopement and give some ideas of how you can incorporate different elements of the traditional French Chateau into your own wedding and gain inspiration from the beautiful surroundings.”
“The whole team was incredibly dedicated to each small detail and I just wanted to thank everyone involved – this wouldn’t be possible without the support of the French suppliers. Again, a destination wedding photographer relies on vendors, connections and friends to be the best help a bride can get & thrive in creative freedom.”
