Terre dell Vignale has been documented since ancient times. The estate was part of heritage owned in Venzolasca by Benedictine monks from the island of Gorgona from at least the 11th century. These holdings were later inherited in the 14th century by the Chartreuse de Calci in Pisa. The property is a family home spanning three generations.
