  • Practical Advantage: Exclusive to your party, the estate hosts 120 guests with accommodation for 14, just 45 minutes from Bastia Airport.

About the Venue

Couvent de Pozzo stands 300 meters above sea level in the village of Pozzo-Brando on Corsica’s east coast, a 16th-century Capuchin convent overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Surrounded by pine trees and wild maquis, this wedding venue in Corsica combines mountain seclusion with panoramic sea views for a serene, dramatic setting.

Still owned by the same family since its acquisition in 1796, the convent retains its original stonework and historic charm, including remnants of monastic life such as preserved “cells” once used by the 16 priests who lived there. Since opening to guests in 2014, Couvent de Pozzo has become a serene destination for family reunions, holidays, and wedding celebrations.

The nearby village of Erbalunga adds to the experience with its coastal setting, narrow stone streets, lively cafés, and summer festivals. The Cap Corse region is revered for its natural beauty, wine trails, and outdoor activities, making the venue an ideal base for a unique wedding retreat.

Accommodation & Amenities

Accommodation:

Couvent de Pozzo provides accommodation for up to 14 guests over two nights as part of the wedding package. The venue features 8 double rooms, with queen-size beds and 6 bathrooms, accommodating a mix of double and single room configurations. Guests staying on-site enjoy a breakfast service, and a 20-person lunch is included on the wedding day.

Rooms retain architectural elements from their original use as monastic cells while offering modern comfort in a peaceful mountain environment. Note that during the reception, house access is restricted, and a babysitter is required for children.

Amenities:

The venue offers a completely private experience, including use of the gardens for the ceremony and reception. Power and water are provided for caterers, and lighting can be arranged for the pool, cloister, and pine trees. A 45 sqm dance floor, dry eco-toilets, and outdoor event infrastructure are required for guest comfort.

An event tent is essential in case of poor weather, as there are no indoor reception spaces. Exclusive catering is offered by two partners Le Hussard and Casellu Foodtruck while floral design, lighting, and DJ services must be arranged through specified local suppliers.
