About This Venue
A 17th-century château with a 380 sqm glass Orangerie, an hour from Paris
Château de Bourguignon is a private estate at Fontains in Seine-et-Marne, about an hour by car from Paris. Its origins go back to the 13th century, and the main house was rebuilt in the 17th century with Régence-style interiors. Couples hire the whole estate, set in 2 hectares of parkland with century-old trees.
Receptions take place in a 380 sqm glass Orangerie, heated and air-conditioned, which seats up to 200 guests for dinner and holds 300 for a cocktail reception. The 750 sqm château has salons for a rehearsal dinner seating up to 50 or welcome drinks for up to 200, and a 120 sqm stone barn with exposed beams suits a welcome dinner or a Sunday brunch. Ceremonies can be held outdoors in the gardens, with the Orangerie, the château and the barn as covered alternatives.
Up to 15 guests sleep on site in 7 bedrooms, including a bridal suite in the 13th-century tower with exposed stonework, a 17th-century fireplace and a marble bathroom. The 2027 packages run for 3 days and 2 nights, from €5,900 midweek and €9,500 at the weekend, and include the accommodation, bed linen, towels and final cleaning. There is no corkage fee.

The Venue History
13th & 17th Century · Classical French & Régence Style
Château de Bourguignon dates back to the 13th century, and its tower, which now holds the bridal suite, keeps its medieval stonework. The main residence was rebuilt in the 17th century in the classical French style, and its reception rooms retain their Régence-style decoration. The château and its salons have since been restored, the barn and a 150 sqm guest residence refined for accommodation and events, and a 380 sqm glass Orangerie added so that receptions can be held in every season.
