About This Venue
A château in the Sologne, built in the Neo-Gothic and Renaissance style, hired in full for one wedding at a time.
Château Changeux, in the Sologne, was built in the Neo-Gothic and Renaissance style. It is hired in full for one wedding at a time, and up to 150 guests. Built between 1887 and 1893 as a hunting estate for Baron Eugène Roger, the house has carried Monument Historique protection in part since 1995. It has since been fully renovated with modern amenities, while keeping its period character.
On site, 16 bedrooms sleep 40 guests, alongside a heated outdoor pool, a library, a games room and a grand piano. It is 17 kilometres from Vierzon and about 2 hours from Paris by car. Weddings typically run across a Thursday-to-Sunday weekend.

The Venue History
1887-1893 · Neo-Gothic, Renaissance
Château Changeux was acquired in 2026, but the house itself is considerably older. For more than a century and a half it was known as the Château de Vouzeron, a hunting estate raised in the Sologne between 1887 and 1893. It was built for Baron Eugène Roger, and part of the property has carried the protection of a historical monument since 1995.
