What We Love

Something French is the wedding planning business of Manon Cherpit, a French-Canadian wedding planner based in Bordeaux. Growing up between 2 cultures gave her a real understanding of the traditions, expectations and communication styles of international couples. She is fully bilingual in English and French, so conversations with couples and local suppliers stay clear on both sides. She also draws on a trusted network of professionals across the Bordeaux region.

Style

Her planning approach is calm, organised and detail-oriented, so couples can enjoy each stage of the process with confidence. Inspired by the French art de vivre, she designs weddings that, in her words, embrace "natural beauty, meaningful details, and a relaxed sense of luxury". Each celebration is tailored to the personality of the couple, blending their own traditions with the charm of France. By her own account, she still gets emotional at every ceremony and has learned to wipe away a tear unnoticed.

Experience

Manon started out as a wedding planner in Paris, where she spent 2 wedding seasons coordinating and supporting high-end weddings. That work grounded her in wedding logistics, client care and the behind-the-scenes detail that keeps a day on track. She then moved to Bordeaux and founded Something French to help international couples plan destination weddings shaped by the French art de vivre.

She mainly plans weddings in and around Bordeaux, and also offers her services at wedding venues in South-West France.
