Sebastien Bicard works documentary at the core and editorial in how he sees light and composition, with a quiet way of moving through a wedding day that never pulls focus from the day itself. Born and raised between two cultures, French and American, and now based between Paris and San Francisco, he reads rooms quickly and moves easily between very different wedding rhythms. A long French family dinner and an American first look on a tight schedule are very different shapes of day, and Sebastien handles both with equal ease. The work that comes out of this is grounded in real emotion rather than trends, with careful attention to the quiet gestures that hold the most meaning years later.

Availability and Travel

Sebastien has spent over a decade photographing weddings. He started in France before moving to California in 2015, where he went full time and trained his eye in the American documentary tradition. He now works between the USA and Europe, photographing weddings in châteaux, private estates and city venues, and travels internationally for destination weddings. He is fully bilingual French and English on the day, which makes the practice a natural fit for cross-cultural celebrations. Most couples book between six and eighteen months ahead, particularly for peak-season dates in Europe and California.

Sebastien has been selected by Rangefinder Magazine for their Rising Stars of Wedding Photography and has been featured multiple times by Junebug Weddings, including curated best-of selections. Ongoing relationships with planners and venues across France and California mean he is regularly recommended directly to their couples.
