About Marie Kerian

What We Love

Marie Kerian is a wedding photographer in France who has photographed more than 130 weddings since 2019, across France and Europe. Each one had its own atmosphere, story and personality. Her style sits between modern fine art and editorial photography, while keeping the images natural.

Style

Marie looks for bright images, soft and true-to-life colour and careful composition, with close attention to light and detail. She wants her photographs to look good today and still feel current in 20 years. She also tells a wedding through everything that shapes its atmosphere: the venue and its architecture, the flowers, the tables, the outfits and the details chosen with care.

Experience

Marie talks with each couple before the wedding about their day, their priorities and the people who matter most, then has a final planning check-in as the date approaches. On the day she photographs much of what happens as it unfolds, and steps in as little as possible, so the gallery keeps its spontaneous moments.

Most of the couples she photographs are not used to being in front of a camera. For portraits she guides couples when they need it, avoiding stiff poses, then returns to a quieter approach so that interactions and emotion are caught as they happen. Her aim is a final gallery that tells the whole day with a consistent style and an editorial touch.

Marie works solo from her base near Nantes and regularly photographs weddings in Brittany and Loire Valley weddings, and often works in Belgium. She also covers weddings across France, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland. She welcomes destination weddings, has a particular fondness for châteaux, fine estates and places with history, and works in French and English.

Wedding Collections

Marie's wedding collections start from €2,400. Coverage runs from 8 hours to more than 15 hours, depending on the collection. Travel within the Nantes area is included; travel elsewhere in France and in Europe is quoted on request.

Selection, optimisation and retouching of every image, from 400 to more than 1,000 photographs
An online gallery to share with guests, who can download the photographs free in high resolution, with a print service included
A magazine of the wedding photographs, more than 100 pages long

Professional equipment, with backup cameras and lenses on the day
Storage of the images for at least 1 year
