Angélique Blaise is one of the wedding photographers in Provence, covering destination weddings across the region and the French Riviera. Her aim is for couples to feel prepared rather than directed, free to live the day fully.

Style

Her approach is documentary and editorial, built on an eye for light, composition and emotional truth. She photographs what actually happens rather than staging it, so the frames stay candid and sometimes quietly bold. She avoids trend-led styling, so a gallery is not tied to the year it was taken. A fashion-inspired eye runs underneath that documentary approach, and she shoots on film as well as digital.

The pictures are made to be printed, framed and passed down, and she describes them as heirlooms rather than simply photographs. That intent shapes what she shoots, and she works regularly at wedding venues in Provence and at those along the French Riviera coast. Away from work she notices light constantly, at dinner or on a walk, and photographs moments in her head with no camera in hand.

Experience

Angélique has worked as a wedding photographer for 9 years and shoots 15 to 20 weddings a year. She is based in Provence, covers the French Riviera, and travels across Europe for destination commissions. She placed 14th in the WPJA rankings in 2023 for her documentary work, and her work has appeared in directory publications.
