Today we want to share with you this natural and romantic wedding Bordeaux, France. The landscape of France differs hugely from region to region from the glamorous French Riviera with its palm trees and sandy beaches to the dramatic backdrop of the French Alps. We are going to explore the beautiful French Pyrenees in this romantic wedding Bordeaux, the perfect backdrop for that WOW factor in your wedding images. You’ll discover cosy wooden lodges perfect for your guests to stay in allowing them to make the most of your chosen wedding location and styling ideas for a winter celebration.
We’ll now hand you over to talented FWS vendor and photographer Matthias Toth who will be walking us through this romantic wedding Bordeaux…
At the origin of this SOFT WILD photo shoot, Matthias Toth photographer, Julien Milan videographer and Sylvie Patten from Sparkly Agency Wedding planner had a common objective to capture a natural and romantic wedding.
The scene is set at the end of winter. Just when the days are just beginning to warm up, enough to imagine saying ‘yes’ in the total intimacy of the mountains in the middle of nature.
We took the betrothed, Jade and Alex, who were more used to surfboards than the cold of the mountains, to Lake Payolle for a weekend get-away. Lake Payolle is a few hours away from Bordeaux, in the middle of the Pyrenees.
This location had all the criteria we were looking for. The Pyrenees offers both the wild side of the snow-capped mountains and the lake in the middle of this setting has a soothing effect.
With Amandine, the florist, we chose to sublimate nature. We used a plant composition as a dresser for an old tree trunk. Instead of a traditional bouquet, our bride held a pretty wreath of dried flowers to match her dresses her “Lack of colors” hat.
Jade wears a champagne tulle skirt from Ellen Marie Bridal, a sweater by the designer Marie Mathilde collab’, Cinemailles and a pair of boots. Her outfit is simple and is enhanced by pretty materials (wool, mohair, and silk) which give a lot of volume. The cut is beautiful with its low-cut back. Alex is dressed by Serge Blanco, with a casual and urban look of soft colors.
They said “yes” in the intimacy and simplicity of the forest. They had time to walk around, laugh, smile, and talk to each other… This beautiful day ended with a beautiful sunset and a bottle of champagne!
The table was neat with simple tableware full of natural notes (wood, ceramic, and glass). Wild bouquets adorned the table with stationery signed My Dear Paper line “Purified” as an evidence!
The Soft Wild editorial was a great adventure. The first idea was to inspire the betrothed, but above all it allowed us to share a special moment with both the betrothed and the whole team. So beautiful!
We wanted a « Hygge » day after, like a desire to suspend time during this sweet getaway.
