Destination Wedding in Europe

Welcome to the weekend!  I have a wonderful destination wedding in Europe to share with you today, as part of our international wedding feature.  Our real couple Marijke and Hendrik got married at the beautiful Tiendschuur in Belgium and their wedding was expertly captured by the talented Gert Huygaerts Photography.

One of my favourite parts of the wedding style, is Marijke’s bohemian inspired Jenny Packham wedding dress and as a shoe lover, how can I not LOVE the nude Louboutins that she teamed them with.

Marijke and Hendrik met in 2010 as members of MUN Society Belgium, a society taking part at international debating competitions. At a barbecue of MUN, Hendrik took the plunge and secured a spot in Marijke’s heart.

After Marijke came back from Chicago for her studies, they moved into their own place in Brussels to take the big challenge of living together. On October 29, 2013 Hendrik proposed to Marijke at Big Sur California… one of the places that Marijke and Hendrik truly adore. Their love for US is something they have in common and that was one of the reasons they moved to the US after they got married.

That was one of the reasons the ceremony was filled with personal and touching quotes of friends and family.

For me this was one of the most touching weddings of 2014 as it was filled with emotions, from morning till night… Just to see all the friends come from all over this globe to attend the wedding of Marijke and Hendrik: goosebumps! I really wish this couple all the best in luck and love!!!”
