Happy Thursday lovelies, we have a real treat for you today as we head to an amazing Chateau in the Dordogne region of Southwest France for a destination Chateau La Durantie real wedding.
The wedding of Aimee & Jack took full advantage of the exclusivity offered by Chateau La Durantie as they held their wedding over the whole weekend. Not only did they have a gorgeous Chateau to themselves they also enlisted to help of expert florist and FWS vendor French Flower Style who say: “Whether you are getting married in a fairytale Chateau or amongst the breathtaking views of one of the many vineyards, choosing French Flower Style to be your wedding florist in France can help make your day even more memorable with bespoke floral designs, created for your special day. With 20 years of Floristry Experience you can be confident that Lisa from French Flower Style can transform your venue with an array of beautiful quality blooms.”
Also featuring subtle and soft makeup by the lovely Kerrie Langfield of French Wedding Hair and Makeup and the ceremonial services of Sandie Smith this gorgeous affair was captured by talented destination photographer Lee Maxwell.
With that said it’s now time to hand things over to Lee who will be guiding us through todays Chateau La Durantie real wedding…
“Aimee & Jack, an amazing couple who held their wedding at the stunning Chateau La Durantie, France. Not just one day, but a weekend of celebration with most of their guests flying in from the UK. The wedding started with welcoming drinks on the Friday night, a chance for everyone to find their feet and catch up. The big day itself was a perfect wedding day.”
“The weather forecast was playing tricks for most of the week, a storm cloud was edging its way closer to Saturday each time we checked, but it ended up being a beautiful sunny day, ideal for the outside ceremony in the chateau grounds. The chateau is exclusive hire, so guests were free to explore the expansive gardens.”
“Saturday started with prep in the bridal suite, whilst the groomsmen got ready in the pool room. Luckily Jack was on hand to help with everyone’s bow ties. Throughout the morning the bridesmaid snuck a peak of the morning’s activities, with guests arriving and the final touches for the ceremony being put in place.”
“It was a lovely service and with some live music it was off for drinks and speeches. Jack and Tom, the best men, did their best to let Aimee know what she signed up for (like she didn’t already know!), but with the jokes aside everyone had such lovely things to say about these two.”
“Aimee and Jack took advantage of the evening light for photos before the party in the marquee started.”
“The first dance was to Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’, hence the perfectly timed confetti canons mid way through! The rest of the evening was a true celebration for a wedding day, dancing and laughing the night away.”
Congratulations Aimee & Jack from everyone here at French Wedding Style!
