Chateau de Lisse wedding in Gascony France

The weekend is coming, yet here at FWS, we relive an adorable wedding in Gascony France by this adventurous couple Hollie and Matt. Captured and immortalized by FWS vendor and the extremely talented wedding photographer, AwardWeddings Photography, this fairytale-like event has all the epic shots worth a thousand words.

The wedding was held at the lush courtyard in Chateau de Lisse. Hollie and Matt, a couple from the UK, flew to the South West France and fulfilled their dream outdoor wedding ceremony. It’s pretty obvious from all the pictures that they had the best day ever, so let’s have Mark from AwardWeddings Photography do the talking!

The chateau
The couple settled in South West France for the wedding of their dreams. The choice of venue is large and they set on a very special one, one of the most historical Châteaux in Gascony. Chateau de Lisse is set amongst the forest with sweeping grounds, fenced in deer park and three lawn terraces.

Their styling
The preparations took place in the chateau and the bride and her bridesmaids had a lovely morning getting ready. Hollie look stunningly beautiful in her bridal dress by Allure Bridals, and her entourage wore TFNC London dresses. She complemented it with sparkly silver shoes from Jenny Packham. Her jewelry came from Tiffany and a personalized boutique.

Hollie is lucky to count a make-up artist and hairdresser amongst her friends, which made her feel completely at ease. They created a beautiful and natural look on her.

Matt looked sharp and dreamy in his Marc Darcy Suits elegant tweed suit.

The day
The chateau has its own chapel and the couple had a family member to celebrate their union. It was an intimate and romantic ceremony. The chapel was mainly decorated with candles.

The decorations
With such an amazing place, you only need a few touches!

The gorgeous flower arrangements, from the bouquet to the table decorations were made by Le Coeur Sauvage, who used white and powdery pink stems, mixed with green foliage.

The couple then had an outdoor cocktail and dinner on the chateau’s grounds. Later on, they treated their guests with a French meal cooked by the venue’s onsite caterer.
