What is your story and how was your proposal:
”My husband and I met on the dating app Tinder almost 8 years ago when we were living in San Francisco. We dated for many years and one year at Monterey Car Week he proposed while we were sitting on top of a hill overlooking the race track and the ocean. He was being really weird that day but had gotten food poisoning the night before so I brushed it off, but it turns out he was really nervous!”

Why did you choose France for your destination wedding:
Landon and I love travelling, especially to Europe. France embodies the elegance yet carefree nature we love and is an easy location for our guests to get to from the US. The Chateau-style venue allowed us to have the type of wedding we wanted: a small gathering of friends and family that felt like a vacation for everyone!
How did you plan your wedding from overseas:
Clémentine from Awardweddings! She helped keep us on task and worked through every detail with us, even when the wedding was delayed a year due to COVID-19. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and hope to see her and her husband Mark next time we are in France.
What is the best memory of your day?
During the speeches at dinner, looking around at all of the tables of our guests and seeing how close our family and friends had become throughout the five days we all stayed at the chateau was very special. Many still keep in touch!
What were your inspiration and decoration ideas?
Our beautiful venue, Château De Saint-Martory was already so perfect, we wanted to lean into the existing decor, color and style of the chateau while adding in small details that were important to us. It was French elegance with a modern twist.
If you had to change anything, what would that be?
Every single piece was perfect. We only wish it could happen every year! Our Wedding at Chateau de Saint Martory was just a dream come true.
