A romantic weekend wedding in Versailles France

When Dominic proposed to Vanessa’s with her Grandmother’s vintage wedding ring at a beautiful log cabin in Canada, it was only the beginning of their story, that ended with a romantic weekend wedding in Versailles France.

As Dominic is British and Vanessa French Canadian, they chose picturesque France as the middle ground to gather all their friends and family. Their beautiful ceremony was held at Chateau d’ Esclimont, a fairytale location nestled between Chartres and Versailles. They had a clear idea for their special day, a classic vintage romance inspired celebration with clean lines and charcoal grey palette highlights.

Serenaded by a string quartet

The enchanting backdrop of the lakes at Chateau d’ Esclimont hosted their wedding ceremony, while a drinks reception followed on the drawbridge across the moat. Guests sipped champagne in the unique location as they were serenaded by a string quartet.

Created a luxurious romantic atmosphere

Working with London based wedding planner Debra Mai, the reception was beautifully transformed with silver candelabras filled with roses, sweet peas and hydrangeas. The florals, both floor standing and the table centrepieces created a luxurious romantic atmosphere inspired by the classic French location.
