Romantic French and Italian Wedding

Greetings Trulovers and how about a romantic love story to finish the real wedding week? I am delighted today to share the super romantic French and Italian wedding of Mariele and Aymeric.   The couple met one day whilst bride Mariele was in a shop having a make up session, groom Aymeric walked in and knew instantly that she was ‘the one’.  Right there and then he asked her to marry him …. a joke on the day, but today I am sharing their real life wedding at Tenuta di Boccea in Roma.

For their wedding, in order to respect both the Italian and French style, Mariele and Aymeric decided to get in touch with a lovely Wedding Planner based in Rome, Viviana Tarantino – Biancoantico, really famous for her unique vintage style. The whole wedding idea was a perfect balance between France and Italy.

Photographer Veronica from Avoriophoto takes us through their love story: “Aymeric and Mariele, both Catholic, were looking for a ceremony and a reception venue in the same place, and Tenuta di Boccea (Rome, where the couple lives) had a little lovely consecrated chapel, a romantic garden for the appetizer buffet and the wedding cake cutting and a beautiful dining hall.

Biancoantico based the whole set-up on the central theme of vintage romanticism; many, many details took part to this main idea: antique furniture, such as cupboard, tea-table, dresser, abat-jour,  cotton lace centerpieces, chandeliers, old books and suitcases, chests, birdcages, ancient framed portraits, fine porcelain…. Particularly interesting was the Photobooth set, realized as a comfortable living room, where guests could take their seats or frame their faces.

Everything was enhanced by a charming floral design, with a stunning bouquet and many different centerpiece compositions for color and flower: hydrangea, lavender, rose, succulent, carnation and wild flowers.

Another important role played Monica (Le tre civette fatto a mano), with the handmade realization of the rings pillow and the lovely suit of Etienne ( Mariele and Aymeric’s beloved son): he was really adorable with his small papillon and gilet.

Then the stationery was absolutely in line with the French/Italian wedding style as well: Suze Studio Design realized a sophisticated, vintage Invitation Suite, using a handmade technique with watercolor flower wreaths. the bilingual Wedding Suite was essential for guests of two different nationalities.

The whole wedding day passed in a blur, like beautiful days always do. The ceremony was really touching, thanks to the moving priest’s words and the involvement of the couple. As a wedding photographer I was really impressed about the way they looked each other after some years of living together and infront of their lovely son. Their complicity and empathy could be easily felt, especially during the wedding ceremony, when Mariele made her touching vow in Italian and Aymeric made the same in French…. It sounded like a beautiful symphony!

Then, during the party, there was a relaxed and informal atmosphere that put everybody at their own ease.

It was really funny to listen to guests speaking Italian, receiving French answers, but I suppose that’s what normally happens during bilingual weddings… it was my first time!!!

It has been such a great honor to be part of this incredible team of suppliers and I could never thank Biancoantico enough for suggesting my photography to Mariele and Aymeric.”

What a wonderful way to round of the week!  Anyone else planning a bilingual wedding?
