We’re off to the Midi Pyrénées today for a Russian wedding at Château de Goudourville of our bride and groom Polina and Dmitry. The entire day took place at the medieval chateau with florals by the talented Audrey VKB who created a beautiful pastel coloured flower arch which added beautifully to Polina and Dmitry’s outdoor ceremony!
There to capture every moment was talented FWS vendor Matthias Toth, a French wedding photographer based near Bordeaux. Matthias specialises in natural and authentic wedding photography, he likes to create a connection with his clients allowing him to capture them as their true-selves in front of his camera. “What I enjoy the most is to capture the feelings of a couple, and to transcribe them in images, naturally, without artifice but with simplicity, in the most beautiful and pure way!”.

Polina and Dmitry are a Russian couple who wanted to get married in France. They wanted unique photographs for their wedding, so they called on Matthias Toth, a wedding photographer with a unique and authentic style.
They wanted to get married in a mythical place, Château de Goudourville, an authentic castle, an ancient medieval fortress that was transformed during the 15th and 18th centuries. With for pieces of bravery its guard room, its intimate chapel, its charming rooms where many illustrious people stayed.
Polina’s preparations took place in the Castle, in the master bedrooms, with a view of the French countryside.
The moodboard was very important for Polina, with elegant wedding accessories such as a dress-code card, engagement rings with the case written in French “Bonheur aux Fiancés” and the wedding invitation written in Russian.
This unique venue is perfect for weddings with a courtyard overlooking the surroundings in which Polina & Dmitry held their secular, intimate ceremony including a round arch of pastel-coloured flowers. What makes the moment even more magical.
The ceremony ended with a beautiful tradition of throwing flower petals at the bride and groom as they leave the ceremony.
For dinner, in the interior courtyard of the Castle is elegant and simple, with flower ornaments, the small number of guests allowed a sumptuous decoration. Each guest’s first name is calligraphed in their place, everything is tailor-made.
The couple’s session in the gardens of the Château took place simply, in the middle of nature, between the trees and flowers of the Château, which makes it unique, and with detailed photos, such as the bride’s bouquet or Dmitry’s Boutonnière. A small couple session was held at sunset, with softer light and incredible colors.
