Unveiling a Fairytale: Wedding Bliss at Chateau de Saint Martory

Amy and Adam’s wedding on Garonne River Banks in the South of France is a true fairytale wedding. To begin with a beautifully restored castle from the Renaissance period, Château de Saint Martory. Surrounded by lush woods and with views of the Pyrénées mountains.

The family flew from New Zealand, to celebrate with them, as both bride and groom are from the other side of the world, and guests arrived from around the world. Homemade cakes baked and beautiful stationery designed by the bride’s sisters.
The gorgeous bride wore an exquisite lace Stella York gown, Rainbow Club shoes and veil. Borrowed earrings from a bridesmaid, diamond bracelet from her aunt and her grandmother’s engagement ring.

The colour palette was made of Provencal colours including pale peach, and dusty grey with greenery. Olive leaves, roses and baby’s breath, tones being predominantly green with a touch of colour.
Amy is a foodie and wanted rosemary in her bouquet which smelled delicious and added a touch of the blue with thistles.

White chairs with babys breath along the aisle and a floral arch.
The reception combined wood, white and grey, a lot of candles to make an enchanting atmosphere. A long runner of olive leaves with roses, and magnum wine bottles as featured candle holders. Grey napkins, white table cloths and wooden chairs. Fairy lights illuminated the magical courtyard.

They had a delicious French dinner catered by a local chef and his team in the castle courtyard, including macaron favours, and danced the night away in the traditional barn, decorated with paper flowers family portraits.
