Musee de Montmartre wedding in Paris

Think Great Gatsby for our vintage inspired Musee du montmartre wedding in Paris! Nina and Benoit tied the knot in the city of lights after a 12 month whirlwind romance in the city of love, we can’t think of anything more romantic!

They said their vows in a town hall ceremony in the 18th arrondissement before celebrating at Violetta et Alfredo – Salon de thé with a vegan wedding breakfast, a real treat in Paris.

It’s every American woman’s dream! To go live in Paris as an artist and marry a dashing Frenchman, and for American Nina, a very pretty and talented singer living in Paris the dream came true. Nina married her French husband, Benoit on the 23rd of November. Both artists, singers and musicians, the talented duo met 12 months ago in a Paris speakeasy and the rest, as they say, is history.

After a romantic whirlwind Paris love story, Nina and Benoit had a small intimate wedding that happened at four locations across the right bank of Paris in the very creative arrondissements of Pigalle and Montmartre. The theme of their wedding was reminiscent of Great Gatsby and Paris in the roaring 20s and their wedding certainly captured the spirit of all the artists who made Paris home in the 1920s just as Nina and Benoit have made Paris their home in the 2020s. Both free spirtis, their wedding felt like the film ‘A Midnight in Paris’.

The ceremony was held at the town hall in the 18th arrondissement. Nina, in a stunning fishtail gown, walked with her mother and grammy from their quintessentially french apartment in Montmartre to where her husband to be who was wearing a stylish white suit was waiting to marry her. They were married in front of a private gathering of loved ones. They beamed as they were showered with confetti as they headed to enjoy a vegan wedding brunch at Violetta et Alfredo. This cafe pays homage to Opera which was fitting as mid brunch, Nina and Benoit serenaded each other, singing opera in front of their surprised guests.

After a delicious vegan meal, a highlight on the Paris culinary scene they wondered the streets to have photographs taken where the ended up being photographed in the stunning gardens of the Musee du montmartre. This was entirely an unplanned event on the day, a testament to what a gentleman Benoit is, he convinced them to let us take photos in the beautiful gardens.

After a brief interlude, they headed to The Cotton Club in Pigalle, a cosy and atmospheric speakeasy where they enjoyed the rest of the night with 40 close friends. Eating French food, dancing, cutting a beautiful naked cake that was decorated with fresh flowers in a bar that was full of authentic 1920s Paris paraphernalia making the wedding of Nina and Benoit a true romantic Paris love story.
