Location: near Toulouse • Occitanie • South of France
Castelnau des Fieumarcon, a romoantic village weding venue with banquet hall offered a wedding setting unlike any other in France. For Jasmit and Steve, it wasn’t just a venue it was a self-contained village perfect for a charming wedding setting near Toulouse. Fourteen historic stone houses, cobbled lanes, and walled gardens became home to their 120 guests for a weekend-long celebration that felt part festival, part family reunion. The concept was extraordinary yet personal: to take over a centuries-old stronghold and transform it into their own community for three unforgettable days in the South of France.

A Weekend of Togetherness and Timeless Views
Planned in just four months by La Boutique Events, a talented destination wedding planner, the celebration unfolded with effortless flow. Friday began with welcome drinks beneath the village archway, followed by a relaxed buffet at sunset on one of the terraces. The next morning, the scent of fresh pastries and coffee filled the narrow streets as guests awoke within the village walls. The ceremony took place outdoors under a floating white canopy, followed by cocktails on a terrace overlooking the valley. Dinner was held al fresco beside the banqueting hall, speeches timed with sunset and laughter rolling through the streets as lights came on across the hilltop. A local DJ mixed Western and Indian music, keeping the dance floor alive long after midnight, while trays of samosas and Cornish pasties made their way through the crowd.
Photography, Community, and a Perfect Finale
The story was captured by Frances of Littlewing Photos, one of Gascony’s most creative wedding photographers, whose images reflected both intimacy and scale the sweeping drone footage by Antony Lancashire Aerial Photography showing just how breathtaking this hilltop village truly is. On Sunday, guests gathered again for a relaxed BBQ lunch under the sun, live music carrying softly through the courtyards, followed by a final evening of conversation and late-night BLTs shared between friends. For Jasmit and Steve, what began as a simple idea became something extraordinary: a once-in-a-lifetime experience that felt less like a wedding and more like a holiday shared with everyone they loved, high above the Gascon countryside at Castelnau des Fieumarcon.
