Another day another wedding. This Chateau wedding in Southwest France is truly another one for the books. Chateau de la Valouze is a gorgeous backdrop to celebrate the special day for this couple that is the beginning of the rest of their lives.
Photographer Matthieu Bodon did a splendid job of capturing the beautiful couple. The bride truly looks smashing in her Pronovias dress. Wedding planner Nicole from Pure Expression Events will tell you a little bit more about this delicate day.
Jasmine & Remy celebrated their dream French wedding on a beautiful September day, in the stunningly beautiful Château de la Valouze in Southwest France. This stunning 19th-century Chateau was the perfect backdrop for all of their wedding events. Jasmine and her bridesmaids were pampered in the beautiful bridal suite which covered almost an entire floor of the chateau – a peaceful space for the ladies to share special bonding moments before walking down the aisle.
If there is one room in the chateau that everyone remembers, it’s the Hunting Lodge. This is “The Spot” for the gents before the ceremony. Complete with animal skins, various antler fixtures, feather lamp, and of course leather armchairs, this group of Texans was completely in their element! (Did I mention they were Texan ?!) Jasmine & Remy said “Yes” with the impressive chateau architecture and sculpted garden as a natural backdrop. The champagne reception was held in the garden where Jasmine & Remy opened the reception with a traditional champagne cascade in front of their guests. Guests dined in the magnificently renovated farm building with exposed beams and large canvas paintings.
Guests danced the night away to a well known, incredibly talented live band. Jasmine envisioned a formal yet relaxed affair balancing impressive chateau surroundings, outstanding wines, and a beautifully sexy-sleek wedding gown with a natural, earthy floral design and traditional French cuisine. Pauline Larriviere’s floral design, with natural whites and greens arranged in loose bouquets, balanced perfectly with the touch of rose gold in the bridesmaid’s dresses and on the tables.
From the beginning, Jasmine wanted a delicate affair and a relaxing weekend of fun and bonding for their family and friends. As if hosting a destination wedding wasn’t a challenge in and of itself, this couple was doing so from two opposite sides of the world! Jasmine spent every other month in Papua New Guinea, thousands of miles away from her beau, and with sometimes sporadic lines of communication. But this highly organized bride was on top of everything throughout the entire planning process. What struck me about this couple was how in love they were! This shone through during our many early morning skypes – a touch of the hand, a caress of the back – just those little moments that tell you so much about a couple’s love. So Cute !!
