A classic wedding with a twist at Château des Lys, a luxury hotel in Loire Atlantique.
Sophie & Jean-Baptiste celebrated their wedding day with their closest family and friends in a beautiful French castle – Château des Lys, planned by wedding planner D Day. We love the bow ties, the colourful and fun smoke bombs and those stunning wedding portraits by the coast – we know you’ll agree that Sophie looks incredible in her backless Pronovias gown!
We’ll now pass you over to Aymeric Neau Photographe who will be walking us through this beautiful Château des Lys wedding…
The wedding of Sophie & Jean-Baptiste is probably one of the most beautiful I have ever photographed. I’ve never met two people who loved each other as much as these two, it felt on my photos but also on the atmosphere of this day spent at the Domaine des Lys in Ancenis, France.
This area is a magnificent 16th century castle, with its park and its outbuildings where the guests had fun under the sun of this beautiful day of August.
The celebration took place in the old access path to the castle, shaded by the forest bordering and with the castle in the background. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the marriage, with a lot of emotion, many people shed its tear, I myself was very moved by the exchange of wishes and the various speeches of their relatives.
The cocktail took place in the courtyard of the castle, with various culinary workshops dedicated to regional specialties. The dinner then took in the orange grove, an old greenhouse restored into a reception room, all glazed, overlooking the field and the castle.
The bride and groom had planned smoke bombs to make less conventional photos with their friends, we went at the end of the day a little apart from the wedding, in front of an abandoned greenhouse to let them express their joy and happiness that I captured in photo.
The day after the wedding, I went with the bride & the groom to the wild coast next to the city of La Baule to make the couple photos. We were lucky to have a nice sunset, and just enough wind to show off Sophie’s dress, making her veil fly. We walked among the rocks, avoiding the waves that crashed there. Then on the beach, symbolic place in their eyes because they have met here and have returned regularly since that day.
