When you blend timeless elegance with a touch of countryside charm, magic happens—and that’s exactly what unfolded at Château de Saint-Martory in the heart of South West France. Erin, originally from the U.S., and Shane, from Ireland, currently call London home. For their wedding, they chose France as the perfect meeting point—somewhere between their two families, and more importantly, a place they both love for its beauty, food, and unmistakable French charm.
A Ceremony Beneath the Trees & Dinner Under the Lights
Set against the château’s stunning backdrop, guests were welcomed by open skies, mountain views, and the kind of scenery that feels like it’s out of a storybook. The ceremony took place beneath a centuries-old tree, wrapped in flowing fabric and framed by a semi-circle floral arch crafted by Lily & Confetti. Lush florals lined the aisle, creating an intimate path for Erin’s walk down the aisle.
After the vows, guests sipped cocktails on the château lawn while Feels Like July provided the perfect live acoustic soundtrack. The vibe was effortlessly relaxed, elegant, and full of joy.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests moved to the courtyard for dinner beneath strings of festoon lights. Tables were set with soft cream linens, golden cutlery, and gold-rimmed plates. Dusty pink napkins—a nod to the bridesmaids’ dresses—were paired with sage green menus by Le Comptoir du Bonheur, tying the whole palette together beautifully. The centerpieces, a mix of florals and antique-style candles, glowed softly as the evening unfolded.
And when the stars came out? So did the dancing. The celebration continued in the château’s covered barn, now transformed into a dreamy reception space lit by hundreds of fairy lights. With music from Fix The Music, the energy carried late into the night.
