Fine Art Couture at Chateau Cocomar, a French-Inspired Editorial
A fine art bridal editorial at Chateau Cocomar, featuring a Galia Lahav gown, Bella Belle shoes, and florals by Bows and Arrows. Styled by Joy…
Soft light, delicate textures, and fine art elegance define this editorial at Chateau Cocomar, a French-inspired venue known for its romantic architecture. Joy Proctor Design directed the styling while Kurt Boomer captured the interplay of couture, florals, and natural light through his signature luminous lens.
Getting Ready

The bride stood alone before an ornate marble fireplace in a grand interior room, examining her reflection in a tall gilded mirror as morning light streamed through floor-to-ceiling windows. The Galia Lahav gown, a masterpiece of lace and soft structure, moved with ethereal grace through the chateau's light-filled rooms. Bella Belle Shoes from the Enchanted Collection added artisan detail through floral embroidery, beaded tulle, and silk textures.
Bridal Portraits

A detail portrait captured the bride holding a pair of ivory satin open-toe heeled sandals with ribbon ankle ties, the shot framed from the torso down against a dark wood background. Full-length bridal portraits in the chateau's grand corridors revealed the Galia Lahav gown's flowing train and delicate lacework. Each image celebrated the interplay between architecture, couture, and the soft Texan light filtering through tall windows.
Flat Lays

A close-up of a floral installation styled around a French-style cream upholstered daybed with gilt wood frame revealed the pastel garden tones that Bows and Arrows Flowers brought to every room. Vintage china place settings, silk ribbon details, and textured paper goods were arranged across antique surfaces. Sculpted florals and the shimmering shoes formed layered flat lay compositions that anchored the editorial's refined palette.
Venue

A large stone lion statue on a square pedestal stood guard on the paved courtyard in front of the cream-rendered chateau. The venue's pointed slate-grey turret roofs with decorative Gothic-style finials created a distinctly French silhouette. Inside, ornate marble fireplaces, gilded mirrors, and hand-painted murals provided endless architectural vignettes for the editorial team.
