La Dîme de Giverny is an extraordinary 13th-century estate situated in the village of Giverny, best known as Claude Monet’s lifelong residence. Originally a tithe barn used to collect agricultural levies for the Abbey of Saint-Ouen, the building has been shaped by centuries of history from ecclesiastical utility to an artist’s retreat and now a refined event venue.
The estate was transformed into a guest house and event destination in 2014 by the Bonnet family, preserving its architectural legacy while introducing elegant comforts. The main building is composed of the original Grange Dimière, two 50m² salons, and a 150m² patio with a stone well at its centre.
Surrounded by fruit trees and a landscaped one-hectare park, the estate is ideal for weddings and celebrations. Giverny’s proximity to sites like Château de La Roche-Guyon and the Museum of Impressionism makes it a culturally rich and picturesque destination.
Accommodation:
The estate provides on-site accommodation to ensure convenience and relaxation throughout your event. Five carefully curated guest rooms reflect the property’s architectural character, each featuring refined decor, quality bedding, and amenities such as Mariages Frères teas, Nespresso machines, and en-suite bathrooms.
The rooms host up to 12 guests. Two fully furnished cottages are also available for rental, sleeping an additional eight guests. Each offers privacy and comfort, allowing your close friends and family to stay within the estate and immerse themselves in the tranquil setting of the Normandy countryside.
